The Hookah (also known as a nargilé or shisha), with its origins in the Middle East, has become an increasingly popular aid to relaxation in this area. The fragrant, incense-like aroma of sweet herbs, cooled before savoring, is a wonderful aid to relaxation.

We have hookahs for one, and also hookahs for two, three or four people to share.  The hookah filters the herbal smoke through ice water, making for a cool, flavorful smoke, free from tar or nicotine.

The herbal mixes used in the hookah are delightfully fragrant, reminiscent of incense, leaving no lingering smell as strong tobacco products like cigars or cigarettes would.  To use the hookah, tobacco is placed on a metal plate with a hole in the bottom that connects to a water-filled metal container below and is heated by special charcoal. When the smoker inhales, smoke travels through the water, down the tube and into the smoker's mouth. The result, enthusiasts say, is a delicious assault on the senses that has none of the harshness of cigarette or cigar smoking.

In the Middle East, especially in Islamic countries where the use of alcohol is forbidden, the hookah bar often serves a similar purpose to a neighborhood pub or tavern, with a convivial atmosphere of social interaction and fellowship.  It is a way to relax and unwind, without toxic side effects.

Come in, enjoy the fellowship, and sample our outstanding collection of delicious flavors of fruit, herbs, molasses, etc.

You'll be glad you did!
